Gov.Ikpeazu Sacks SSG, Commissioners And Over 200 Aides

Governor of Abia state, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, today, dissolved his cabinet as well as his over 200 former Special Assistants, Personal Assistants and Senior Special Assistants, leaving only two Commissioners untouched.
According to a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Government House, Sir Onyil Wammah, "Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has dissolved the Abia State Executive Council. Only two Commissioners were spared- Mr Obinna Oriaku of the Ministry of Finance and Chief Umeh Kalu, SAN, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice. "
The statement added that; "this directive also affect the Secretary to the State Government, while Hon. Eziuche Ubani, the former Commissioner for Works becomes Special Adviser to the Governor on works and Project monitoring. All aids including Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Personal Assistants were affected."
This sack is coming about a month after the Supreme Court affirmed the election of the Governor in a suit instituted by a Governorship aspirant in Abia State, Uche Ogar.
